Wriggly Tin

Introduction

The Wriggly Tin is over 3 levels and is not designed for non-ambulant disabled guests, the ground floor contains all living areas, bathroom and w.c.  All doors ways vary from 73 -82cms. Bedrooms only accessible via stairs.

Mains supplied fire alarms in most rooms and hallways

3-hour emergency lighting provided in halls and landings guiding to emergency exits.

Arrival

Driveway off the main highway, with parking for 2/3 cars, is limestone gravel and level.  Access to the main door is on level from gravel driveway to wooden footbridge with steel and wooden handrails each side, 90cms wide with 2 x 90◦ turns, the main door 82cms has a raised threshold. Above there is a porch with downlighters.

There is also access through an entrance door width 82cms at front of the cottage, via a locked gate which is ramped from the highway with no steps or door threshold.

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance: Main door 82cms wide, flooring is level matting with door to Kitchen, entrance to rest of the cottage and door to Cloakroom W.C.

Kitchen/Dining Room: Engineered oak floor in dining area, riven indian sandstone tiles in kitchen.  U shaped kitchen work top at 90cm x 60cms, single drained stainless steel sink single mixer tap with lever style taps. Free standing Gas cooker at 90cms, side opening door to main oven, oven/grill with drop down door and 4 burners on top.  All plug sockets in Kitchen area at worktop height. Fire blanket and 2kg powder fire extinguisher wall mounted.

Lounge: Level access from internal hallway, riven indian sandstone tiles. Open log burning stove with fixed metal fireguard surround. 3ltr foam fire extinguisher situated at exit.

Bathroom: Level access from internal hallway with riven indian sandstone tiles, pull cord single pendent light with extractor fan. Bath with mixer tap, separate shower cubicle 76cms x 66cms single door access opening outwards with 15cm shower base. Toilet and sink with single mixer tap

1^ST FLOOR

Accessed by carpeted staircase with handrail to 1 side, 8 risers – 75 x 26 x18, platform and left 90◦ turn to further 5 No. risers directly into loft bedroom with restricted height at eaves

LOWER GROUND FLOOR

Stairs leading to lower ground floor have fitted carpet, 15 Risers – 90 x 26 x 18 handrail to 1 side but contained within wall on both sides, corkscrew 90◦ turn on last 4 risers into hall. Hall carpeted.

Shower room: Door entrance 73cms with graded threshold; pull cord to single ceiling light with extractor fan; toilet, hand basin with single mixer tap; shower cubicle 66 x 78 15cm shower base, pull door hinged on right; shaving light above mirror at 70cms. Flooring riven indian sandstone tiles

Bedroom 1: Door 73cms, level carpeted access from hall, 3 single beds. 2 opening windows.

Passage way to further rooms: Through 73cms doorway, level floor fitted carpet.◦

Laundry: Door opening into passageway 180◦ hinges, electric trip meters; Washing Machine; freezer stored at 90 cms from floor; dryer. Ceramic tiles to floor.

Vestibule:  Door leading to patio area over threshold strip, wooden decked footbridge with handrail to each side.

GARDEN 

The garden is terraced with 3 set of concrete steps without handrails which lead to a lawned area, care must be taken at all times in the garden and it is not accessible for disabled.
